OUR STORY
We absolutely love cars, and that should be pretty obvious by now. There is just something that is so interesting and unique about the connection that is built between the owners and their cars that they’ve built that only a few can truly understand. In fact, our favorite part about cars is getting to know the owners themselves and learning the stories behind their builds and how the owners got into cars. Some will see cars as just a piece of machinery to get from Point-A-to-Point-B, while we view cars as a reflection of their owners and their stories.
For some, cars is simply a getaway, a hobby that gives them an escape to when they needed answers that they couldn’t obtain. They love to tinker with their cars and learn something new. They prefer to stay busy as it helps distract them from the chaos that is the real world.
For others, cars is their canvas. They enjoy the idea of adding onto their projects and focusing on the details, even if no one notices. Some will even strip the car down and rebuild from the ground up, just because it’s a learning experience and they want to get one step closer to perfection. Similar to artists, they enjoy every step of the process, and are always willing to learn more about how to take their projects to the next level as they get closer and closer to what they’ve truly envisioned in their minds.
There are the people who focus on the “Form”, you know, the ones that focus only on the looks of their car. They spend weeks upon months on deciding the right combination of paint, aero-kit, and wheels in search of finding the right balance between expression and flow. And when they’re not working on their cars, they spend most of their days daydreaming on how it will all look and come together when it’s all finished.
And then there are the “Drivers”, the ones who focus more on the balance between performance and handling and their own driving ability than the aesthetics of the car. They consistently crave the rush and adrenaline that comes with pushing their cars to the absolute limits. They dream of speed, and they often prefer the long way home, as in the roads that contain hundreds of curves, banked corners and double-apexes. They are the ones who spend their days and nights studying on their driving technique, just to shave off half-a-second of their best time. Speed is their religion, and the track is their temple.
While there are many types of car enthusiasts out there in the world, our main goal as a media company is to be able to capture the builds of the owners in a way that makes them fall in love every time they see a photo of it, and to be able to share with the world the stories of the owners and what their cars mean to them. We appreciate all types of car enthusiasts, because it is the amount of diversity and unity that makes the car community great, from the 17-year-old high schooler who just got his 1994 Acura Integra as his first car to the 40-year-old who just finished rebuilding his 1969 Chevy Chevelle for the 4th time. We appreciate all automotive enthusiasts, and we love to capture and showcase them as if they are works of art, because in our view, they are.
While Midnightrush Media is a mainly a media team, it was our love for cars, photography, and video that got us here, and that is why we understand how important it is to get the right angles, perspectives, and lighting in order to capture the owner’s builds the way that they had envisioned it and to be able to tell the story accurately.
This means more to us than just “creating content” for the sake of views and likes. This is bigger than us.
This is about cars, their owners, and car culture itself. This is about the passion that we have for cars, why we love them, and why they mean so much to us. The cars that we spend countless of hours to dream, build, and drive, are a reflection of who we are.
It was our love for cars, photography/film, and story-telling that drove us here to start Midnightrush Media, so that we can create the visuals and share the stories of the owners and their builds in order to induct it into automotive history forever. We hope that what we do will be inspiring to the future generation of automotive enthusiasts in the years to come.
We are Midnightrush Media. We are car enthusiasts, photographers, film-makers, story-tellers, designers, perfectionists, artists, builders, drivers, and everything in-between. We love cars, and we want to share our love for them with you and the rest of the world. That is why we are here.
